The Pay-it-Forward fund is my way of providing equitable access to my work for poor people and marginalized communities. I am committed to providing fair and accessible pricing for my work, but I also realize that one person’s reasonable price is another person’s weekly food budget. I don’t ever want anyone to have to make the choice between survival and healing. After years of discounting my services to a point that I couldn’t support my family, I decided their had to be a better way.
This idea was first developed by Iliana Burke and introduced to me by a blog post written by Abigale Rose.
The process is simple. When you go to book a Journey Session, you will be asked if you’d like to make a small donation to the fund. When someone wants to work with me, but they cannot afford my fees, they can apply for a grant from the fund. Plus I will match each donation dollar for dollar with a time donation of my own. So if you donate $60 to the fund, I will match it with my own time donation worth $60 giving the recipient a total of $120 of credit towards my work.
If you’d like to apply for a grant yourself you can do so by emailing me here.
If you would like to donate directly to the fund, you can do so here.
